Winners to be announced on April 19, 2012
San Diego, CA (April 9, 2012) — 5x Technology, a growing IT solutions provider, today announced that CEO Jeffrey Yefsky has been nominated as a finalist in the 5th Annual Information Technology Executive of the Year Awards, presented by the San Diego Business Journal, ESET, along with current gold sponsor AIS, and silver sponsors Robert Half Technology and Festivities Catering & Special Events. Winners will be announced at an awards banquet hosted at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park on April 19, 2012.
“Jeffrey Yefsky is very deserving of this nomination,” states Eric Januszko, nominator and Principal at technology consulting firm JSI Consulting. “I have been able to witness Jeffrey in the workplace numerous times and have always been impressed by his efforts in maintaining a positive work environment. This is evident in both his supportive and encouraging interactions with his employees and his professional relationships with his customers. He has a very easy going style, which is carried forward by his employees and makes it a pleasure working with Jeffrey and his team.”
Januszko goes on, “As an officer in the Naval Reserves, Jeffrey was called up for active duty in support of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. He took the assignment without pause all the while knowing he had a company to run and employees who relied on him for their livelihood. Rather than suspend the business operations for the duration of his service, which was the easy option given the state of the economy at the time, he found an effective way to keep his business running, keep his customers happy, and maintain jobs for his employees, all while fulfilling his duty to his country.”
In 2011, 5x technology ranked in not one, but two San Diego Business Journal’s Top Lists. The company ranked #11 in the Minority Businesses and #7 in the 2011 Technology Solutions Provider list. These ranking make the company the largest business intelligence solutions provider in the area, based on gross revenues of the past 2 years.
The company’s strong partnerships with industry's leading technology and software providers, including IBM Cognos, SAP BusinessObjects, Microsoft, Oracle, BMC Software, CB Technologies, and HP enable it to offer a complete range of services to develop and maintain a business intelligence strategy for its customers.
